The Assistant Racquets Sports Pro is responsible for is responsible for assisting the Director and Assistant Director of Racquet Sports in assuring the highest levels of service for members and their guests. This position is responsible for teaching members and guests and collaborating and supporting other racquet sports professionals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the Director and Assistant Director of Racquet Sports as directed in initiating, directing and promoting camps, clinics, special events and other programs, such as lessons and instructional programs
Responsible for coaching the Junior League tennis team play
Responsible for leading organized clinics as assigned by the Director of Racquet Sports. Must be flexible in moving other lessons if needed.
Responsible for providing an exceptional member experience at all times
Help maintain the Racquets facility, always ensure tidy and neat appearance, and assist with any tasks assigned for smooth operations
Timely communication with the Director and/or Assistant Director of Racquet Sports regarding any delays, expected lateness or member complaints
Adhere to all Club lesson rules, including those applicable to non-members or social members
Respond to member requests in a timely fashion
Administer and enforce Club Racquets policies and procedures regarding play on Club courts
Organizes, administers and officiates at tournaments, exhibitions and inter- and intra-club social events
Ensure accurate billing of all lessons and clinics
Cover pro shop as needed
Coordinate and assist with maintaining and operating Har-Tru Racquets courts, as needed
Maintain a collaborative working relationship with the Director, Assistant Director and other Racquet sports professionals, as well as with members
Other work duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
NTRP Rating of 4.5 or higher
Proven professional communication skills
Ability to positively interact with a diverse population of members and players
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Proven experience demonstrating a positive approach towards teaching and mentoring Racquet Sports players at all skills, levels, and ages.
Experience playing Racquet Sports at a collegiate level preferred
