Senior Field Technician – Equipment Mechanic

- Location: World Equestrian Center Complex – Ocala, FL - Compensation: $65,000.00 base salary (With guaranteed annual 3% cost-of-living increases) - Incentive Track: Eligible for a structured, performance-based quarterly merit and bonus program. - Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week. Position Summary We are recruiting a Senior Field Technician – Equipment Mechanic who balances specialized preventative machinery maintenance with daily, hands-on outdoor operations. This is a cross-functional role requiring daily natural and synthetic sports turf groundskeeping shifts alongside the crew, paired with absolute technical ownership of the on-site shop floor. Note: Under our facility operations structure, this position is responsible for routine preventative maintenance only. Severe mechanical failures, complex engine/hydraulic overhauls, and major equipment repairs are escalated to and handled directly by the venue management team. Essential Qualifications & Responsibilities - Daily Field Labor: Participate directly in standard grounds care every single day, including precision mowing, surface grooming, athletic line painting, and debris bagging. - Natural Turf Machinery: Manage technical sharpening and upkeep for specialized natural turf gear, utilizing grinders to execute precise reel-to-bedknife micro-adjustments. - Synthetic Equipment Upkeep: Inspect and maintain specialized synthetic units, including tow-behind brushes, infill sweepers, and magnetic debris units. - Preventative Logistics: Execute routine oil changes, filter retrofits, fluid checks, and pre/post-operation machinery safety audits. - Company Benefits: Generous health insurance stipend available after a 3-month introductory period ( $300/month individual or $500/month full family ).
