About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Agronomy in all aspects of the facility management, including the club grounds
Assist in overseeing and carrying out all daily scheduling of crew and operating procedures.
Utilize all available resources, including collaborating with other team members, to carry out tasks.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Assist in scheduling and modifying the irrigation system to maximize water usage.
Use best management practices to meet course conditioning and detail standards.
Assist with coaching and training team members on proper Agronomy team procedures and practices.
Assist with communicating with the equipment manager on mowing schedules, tournaments, and special equipment needs.
With input from the Director of Agronomy, assist in supervising all special construction projects.
Understand the importance of daily tasks and how they affect daily playing conditions.
Make employee and member/guest satisfaction and safety a top priority.
Assist in the daily proper setup of the golf course for member/guest play to meet all daily standards.
Assist in keeping hand tools, motor-powered tools, and equipment inventoried and properly stored.
Assist the Equipment Manager in checking gas and oil levels daily.
Assist with scheduling and implement greens, fairways, and tee aerification using specialized equipment.
Assist with scheduling and implement Fertilizer/Plant protectant applications as directed by the Director of Agronomy.
Keep lists of daily tasks, essential items, and future projects.
Assist in keeping updated chemical and fertilizer records
Assist with special projects
Discuss and be a part of budgeting with the Director of Agronomy
Discuss and be part of the scheduling for all team culture, chemical, equipment, and cultural practices and standards.
Actively engage in on-the-job learning by asking questions, applying instruction, and demonstrating initiative.
Maintain and operate equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
Accurately finish jobs in a reasonable amount of time.
Carry a radio when one is provided by team leadership.
Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
Wear designated uniforms properly at all times during work hours.
Immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents to leadership.
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe shop and work environment
Perform fuel and oil checks before daily equipment use; refuel and clean the equipment at the end of each use.
Exhibit professional behavior and proper etiquette when in the presence of members, guests, and staff across the property.
