$50,000.00 -$60,000.00 based on experience. Summary:
As a key member of the property's golf course maintenance team, the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. This role assists with the day-to-day oversight of maintenance and agronomic practices across the 36-hole semi-private golf course, adjacent grounds, and the clubhouse landscaping and maintenance complex.
Key Responsibilities: Supervises and trains the foreman, irrigation technician, and other employees in the maintenance department. Prepares weekly schedules for the foreman, irrigation staff, and other employees in the maintenance department. Monitors inventory and use of all maintenance equipment, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety training.
Works closely with the Superintendent in managing the annual budget and maintenance recordkeeping. Works closely with the Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic strategies for golf course maintenance, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly fertilization and irrigation schedules. Calibrates and operates pesticide sprayers.
Institutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelines. Assists the Superintendent in informing members about present and future maintenance activities. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be flexible with schedule.
Education and Experience: Minimum five years of experience required.
Certificates/Licenses: GCSAA membership required.
