About the Opportunity Pin Placements is recruiting for Assistant Golf Course Superintendent opportunities in the Orlando and Central Florida market.

Opportunities may be a fit for established Assistant Superintendents as well as AITs, Spray Technicians, Irrigation Technicians, Crew Leaders, and other experienced turf professionals ready for increased responsibility.

The Role Assistant Superintendents work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and agronomy team to execute the daily maintenance and conditioning of the golf course.

Responsibilities may include:

Coordinating daily golf course maintenance and course setup Monitoring turf health, moisture, disease, weeds, insects, and overall playing conditions Assisting with fertilizer and plant-protectant applications Managing irrigation schedules, troubleshooting, and repairs Supporting aerification, topdressing, verticutting and other cultural practices Assigning work and providing direction to maintenance team members Training employees on equipment operation, maintenance practices, and safety Assisting with golf course renovation and improvement projects Maintaining application, maintenance, inventory, and agronomic records Working closely with the Superintendent to execute the property's agronomic plan Taking increased leadership responsibility as experience develops Who We're Looking For We are interested in candidates with experience in golf course maintenance, turfgrass management, agronomy, or related fields who are ready to continue developing their careers.

Strong candidates may have experience as an:

Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Second Assistant Superintendent Assistant-in-Training (AIT) Spray Technician Irrigation Technician Crew Leader Senior Golf Course Maintenance Technician A degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, Golf Course Management, or a related field is preferred but not required for every opportunity.

Experience with warm-season turfgrass, irrigation systems, pesticide and fertilizer applications, crew leadership, and Florida growing conditions is particularly valuable.
