About the Role
The Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois (KGF) was established in 1998 to introduce youth across Illinois to the game of golf. Our mission is to bring the sport of golf into the lives of children and provide them with opportunities for personal growth and career enhancement.
Since our inception, KGF has reached more than 250,000 kids through a wide range of programs and events. As a statewide resource, we partner with organizations to implement youth golf programming within their community by providing program consultation, equipment, resources, funding opportunities, and more all at no cost. Beyond teaching the fundamentals, our programs emphasize essential life skills such as sportsmanship, self-esteem, and golf etiquette.
KGF has partnered with more than 200 organizations statewide, including schools, park districts, youth organizations, community organizations, police departments, and more.
KGF has also developed the Golf FORE Schools Program, which brings instructors directly into physical education classes to introduce students to putting, chipping, and full swing. The program currently serves 3rd-5th grade students, with plans for continued growth.
We are committed to creating inclusive opportunities for youth of all backgrounds and abilities, including individuals with special needs, ensuring every participant can learn, grow, and enjoy the game in a supportive environment.
