Lead Assistant Golf Professional - Fenmoor Golf Course

Responsibilities: Assists in overseeing the daily operations.Assist with training of new and existing staff.Assists in managing outside golf operations staff.Ensures golf car fleet is maintained.Ensures practice facility is maintained.Assists in managing golf shop retail staff.Assists in the golf shop merchandise purchasing.Ensures all merchandise levels are maintained.Ensures golf shop is kept clean and organized.Works with daily, monthly, and annual financial records.Assists with daily, monthly, and annual round counts and budgeting.Uses Reynolds Lake Oconee purchase order systems.Maintains levels of supplies for operation.Enforces rules of golf and rules of Reynolds Lake Oconee.Assists with tournament operations of all member events.Assists with the tournament operations of Corporate Golf Events.Provides golf instruction.Monitors and maintains the honor stations at Creek Club.Maintains the continental breakfast provided daily at Creek Club.Lead Assistant Professional Duties: Oversight of the operation in the absence of the head professionalCoordinate the merchandising efforts, including supervision of the retail staffInvolvement in the budgeting and forecasting of the entire operationMentor the assistant professional on staff in preparation for that individual one day moving into a lead roleAssist assistant professional in managing outside staffInstruction of members and guests (once certification is attained)Main contact with other department headsMember tournament coordinationCorporate Golf liaison.Qualifications: PGA member desired, minimum of began Level II PGA/PGM education.Previous experience with a golf facility operation.Good computer skills to include experience in Word, Excel, and POS.Excellent communication and organization skills.Experience in Golf Instruction to include Jr. Program and personal play.1-2 years management experience.Must have a driver’s license with a good MVR.Benefits: Medical, dental, vision and life insurance Two weeks paid vacation available at start dateAdditional paid time off available after 90 days: 10 holidays, 3 sick days and 3 personal days401(k) with company match Flexible spending and health savings accountsLTD and STDEmployee discounts: food, retail merchandise, boat rentalsGolf privileges
