Assistant Golf Professional

Assistant Golf Professional Golf Course in San Angelo, Texas is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional. Position Overview: Assist the Director of Golf in all areas of the Golf Operation including monitoring daily play, staff management, tournaments and outings, merchandise, instruction and more. Typical work week will consist of 30-35 hours in the Golf Shop, allowing 10-15 hours for conducting lessons/clinics, monitoring on course play and assisting with other activities. Duties: • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times. • Assist all facets of golf operations. • Conduct individual lessons and clinics. • Assist with member check-in and daily play. • Assist golf shop daily opening and closing procedures. • Assist in managing tournament operations and weekly events. • Provide club repair and club fitting services to members. • Assist golf shop merchandise management and inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders. • Play and promote golf with members of all skill levels. Requirements: 1+ years of experience, preferably at a private facility. College degree preferred. PGA Class A membership, or an associate working towards membership. Knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations. Experience teaching the game to both adults and juniors. Basic understanding of Golf Genius. Experience with Club Essentials POS is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Compensation: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year.
