POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Superintendent in operating functions of the Golf Course Maintenance Department. The operating functions could include: Turfgrass/plant material maintenance programs, property/asset management, scheduling and maintenance of irrigations systems, and pesticide applications,
With specific specialty in applying plant protectants, fertilizers, and other enhancers, this position also works on diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance. Also performs general course maintenance work related tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Be proficient in reading labels and instructions to accurately apply chemicals as directed, keep records of applications, and obtain a State Pesticide License.
Safely operates powered equipment in mowing golf course putting greens, aprons, and tees.
Waters and fertilizes putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs as instructed.
Gradis and prepares a soil plant bed, lays sod, plants vegetative material, and seeds putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
Changes cups on the greens and moves tee markers as instructed.
Safely operates light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
Trims trees, prunes shrubbery, and cultivates shrubs and flowers as needed.
Assists in construction of new greens, tees, and, fairways by grading, preparing soil and planting.
Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in the respective areas, to meet Club standards and as communicated in the Star Service FOCUS expectations (ie no trash/debris on course, etc.).
Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.
Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible.
OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES
Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club's operation, it may be necessary that each Employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
