Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Golf Club in Reno, Nevada is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Position Overview: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Assist in the supervision and direction of golf course maintenance personnel, including training, scheduling, and evaluation. • Assist in the implementation of the golf course maintenance plan and participate in the preparation of reports and maintenance records. • Work with the Golf Course Superintendent and Director of Operations to develop projects and programs to maintain and improve the golf course, including the irrigation system, greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, landscape beds, and clubhouse landscaping. • Help manage the maintenance of all equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are always in proper working order. • Assist with the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures for the grounds department. • Communicate with other departments within the golf club to ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed. • Maintain accurate records of all supplies and equipment used and report any equipment failures or malfunctions in a timely and accurate manner to the Golf Course Superintendent. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or Golf Course Manager. Requirements 2 years of experience in the maintenance, operation or management of a gold course and related facilities and equipment, including 1 year of supervisory experience. Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers and various types of pumps and pumping systems.
