The City of Tumwater owns and operates a championship caliber golf course, located in the beautiful Tumwater Valley.
Join our dedicated golf course maintenance team at TVGC, a premier golf destination for golfers in the South Puget Sound region. We are committed to providing an exceptional golfing experience through well-maintained facilities and outstanding customer service. Numerous vantage points throughout the golf course offer unique views of the Deschutes River and Mt Rainier. Golfers and staff alike enjoy the frequent sightings of native wildlife, making each day at TVGC a truly unique experience.
Job Summary

TVGC is seeking enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our maintenance team for the 2026 season. This position offers hands-on experience in golf course operations in a supportive and team-focused environment.
Essential Job Duties
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Arrive prepared and on time for each scheduled shift.Work weekends, holidays, early mornings (summer start times as early as 4:00 AM), and evenings as needed.Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and guests.Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment.Complete assigned tasks efficiently, safely, and with attention to detail.Keep work areas clean by picking up trash and preventing clutter.Demonstrate a reliable work ethic and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Maintain focus and take ownership in producing high quality work.
Equipment Operation & Course CareSafely operate small equipment such as blowers, string trimmers, and similar tools.Safely operate mowers and light utility vehicles.Change cups and tee markers according to daily course setup procedures.Dig holes and trenches to assist with irrigation maintenance and repairs.Participate in project work including turf repair and bunker renovation.Perform landscape duties such as planting, raking, pruning, and removal of noxious weeds.
Equipment CareInspect equipment before use: check tire pressure, hydraulic lines, oil,fuel, and fluid levels.Clean and return equipment to its proper location after use.Promptly report equipment issues to supervisors.
Selection Criteria
Minimum QualificationsMust be 18 years of ageMust posses a valid Washington State Driver\'s License.Must pass a successful background check.Work EnvironmentMay require working nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.Prolonged standing, walking, and equipment operation required.Frequent physical labor required.Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions.Who May Apply
