Position Summary
As a Golf Equipment Specialist, you will report directly to the Sales and Service Manager. Your primary responsibility is to engage customers in our Hard Goods areas, including Simulators, Putting Green, Club Repair, and Accessories, fostering a delightful shopping experience that drives sales. You will assist with various front-end operations and ensure that our merchandising is presented at the highest standards. Your role will include demonstrating product knowledge, assisting with club fittings, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Exceptional customer service and teamwork are key to your success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide world-class service to every customer, building lasting relationships that encourage repeat business.Proactively engage with customers in our Hard Goods areas, including Simulators and Accessories.Assist customers with front-end operations like returns, exchanges, and promotions.Maintain a prime stock and visual presentation in all Hard Goods areas to enhance customer experiences.Ensure all equipment and supplies in the Hard Goods sections are operational and well-maintained.Keep the merchandise and work areas clean and professional at all times.Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of various golf clubs and effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.Conduct precise customer fittings using PGA TOUR Superstore techniques.Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and ethical conduct.Assist customers in selecting the right specifications for optimal club performance.Stay informed about merchandising promotions and marketing events to promote offerings effectively.Provide feedback to management on operational and merchandising opportunities to improve customer experience.Qualifications and Skills Required:
Communication: Strong listening, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.Computer: Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines and objectives.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience: Previous retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.Working Conditions: Must be able to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, move throughout the store, and lift up to 30 lbs overhead.Schedule: Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Business Acumen: Quick learner with a passion for business growth.Accountability: Proactive attitude with strong self-accountability aimed at achieving results.PGA TOUR Superstores is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
