Job Summary

The JV Golf Coach is responsible for assisting with the development, and administration of the Kingswood Golf program (7-12). This position involves instructing student-athletes in the rules, strategies, and techniques of golf, while fostering a culture of sportsmanship, academic excellence, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Player Instruction & Development

Working with the Varsity Coach to plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions focusing on fundamental skills, course management, rules of golf, and mental etiquette.Analyze individual and team performance to provide constructive feedback to the athletes and head coach.2. Program Administration & Leadership

Work with the Head Coach and Athletic Director to manage the program's budget and transportation schedule.Assist in maintaining accurate team statistics, inventory of equipment, and student participation records.3. Assist with Student-Athlete Mentorship & Compliance

Monitor the academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes, emphasizing that academics remain a priority.Follow Athletic Department codes of conduct, and the official rules set by the NHIAA.Model and promote exemplary sportsmanship, integrity, and ethical conduct both on and off the golf course.4. Support the Head Coach with Communication & Community Relations

Maintain clear and regular communication with student-athletes, parents, athletic directors, school administration, and the golf course.Attend the seasonal Athletic Department meeting. Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Prior coaching experience coaching Golf at a high school or golf club.Certifications: First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Concussion Course, NFHS Heat IllnessSuccessfully passed a background check.Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a proven ability to motivate and mentor young athletes.
