Golf Course Mechanic
Have you worked with golf carts and turf equipment? Do you like to work with your hands? Do you like building things? This is an entry level position working in a busy golf course maintenance shop and golf car dealership.
Carson Valley Golf Course, an established 18 hole golf course that has been family owned and operated since 1982, focusing on providing fun golf experiences for our customers. Our shop performs service and repairs on our turf equipment as well as golf car service for our authorized Yamaha Golf Car Dealership.
We are looking for a self-motivated, eager individual to work with our team of turf and golf car professionals. There is potential for growth in the company for applicants with a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Day to day duties are varied and will include:
Basic preventative service work on turf equipment and golf cars.
Golf cart repair, refurbishing, and sales prep.
Prepping carts for rental, re-sale and delivery.
Renovate and upgrade golf cars.
Building custom golf cars for customers.
Turf equipment repair.
Requirements
Must possess a current driver’s license with a clean record.
Familiarity with using an ohmmeter
Some experience in small engines and equipment maintenance required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges
Compensation for these position starts at $19.00 / hour or more depending on the experience and value you can provide to our growing businesses. Candidates with additional experience in small engine, electric vehicles, and equipment maintenance may start at a higher wage.
Carson Valley Golf Course is a Drug free workplace. Every team member must operate some type of vehicle or equipment and therefore Pre-employment drug screening (including Marijuana) is required, and random post employment screening may occur.
