Located in San Jose, CA, The Villages Golf & Country Club is part of a 55+ gated community.  This Robert Muir Graves designed golf course features 18 holes of championship golf, a 9-hole Par-3 course, driving range, and two practice areas (Vinyard, and Montgomery).

This community is committed to the golf course and its continued progress.  Recently the 56 bunkers were renovated with Capillary liners and G3 sand.  Annual rounds are approximately 45,000 - 50,000 played by members and their guests.  The Villages is a very active community that takes pride in the many activities they offer.

As Assistant Superintendent, the successful candidate must work in true partnership with the rest of the property leadership team and will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent.

Minimum Requirements

- Must possess a California QAL license

- 2 or 4 year degree in turfgrass management or related field

- Prior crew leadership / supervisory experience

- Team leader / works well with the maintenance team, hiring, training, career development

- Water management / meter reading / recording helpful

- Knowledge in turfgrass agronomy, irrigation, fertilizer / pesticide applications and golf course maintenance practices

- Valid driver's license

- Reliable transportation
