JOB SUMMARY
Join our dynamic team as an Irrigation Technician-Golf Course Groundskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the health and beauty of our lush greens and fairways. This role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in an environment where your technical skills and passion for lawn care and landscape maintenance make a real difference. This is a full-time position and reports to the Director of Golf Course Maintenance
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates and monitors all aspects of the golf course irrigation system.
Adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains all physical components of the golf course irrigation system and pumpstation operations.
Works closely with the Assistant Golf Course Supervisor/Lead Spray Technician and Director of Golf Course Maintenance in the scheduling of daily irrigation applications and golf course watering requirements.
Responsible for daily water use recordkeeping and maintains sufficient parts/supplies inventory.
Mows greens, tees, fairways, and rough on golf course.
Sets cups, tee place markers, maintains ball washer, and removes trash from golf course.
Rakes and maintains sand traps.
Weeds lakes, edges cart paths, edges yardage markers, blows and picks up debris.
Trims, prunes, and shapes trees and shrubs on golf course as instructed by the Director of Golf of Golf Course Maintenance or Assistant Golf Course Supervisor/Lead Spray Technician.
Maintains shrub beds on golf course to include weeding, mulching, planting, and fertilizing.
Assists with irrigation repairs as required.
Assists with spraying chemicals.
Assists in special projects as necessary.
Abides by all current stated policies and procedures.
Other related duties as required or requested.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
One (1) year prior grounds or lawn maintenance experience at a golf course preferred.
PHYSICAL / EMOTIONAL DEMANDS
Strenuous outdoor labor required year-round. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be physically capable of shoveling, raking, bending, stooping, etc., on a daily basis. Must efficiently operate large mowers, weed-eaters, chainsaws, etc.
