About the Role
Overview
Scottsdale National Golf Club is known for providing distinct, memorable, and genuine levels of service to our Ownership, Members and Invited Guests and we work hard to provide an elevated hospitality approach day-in-and-day-out. We show up each day ready to support one another by fostering an environment of anticipating needs, creating meaningful connections, and challenging ourselves to be better than we were the day before. Our On-Course F&B Merchandiser & Serving Assistant role is an important position for our team, and we will look to you to set high standards for yourself and promote a work environment that doesn’t settle for anything less than producing high quality results. This “global service” approach is a significant element to our collective success, and this position will play a role in ensuring, and more importantly, modeling a global service standard, attitude and mind-set in all situations.
This position has two primary responsibilities – overseeing the daily restocking and organizing of our four on-course comfort stations and assisting our Server team in the dining room once the comfort station responsibilities have been completed. There will be duties such as packaging and placing house-made food and purchased consumable items and beverages, as needed, in each of the comfort stations. We’ll also look to you to create/maintain a list of re-orders and supplies needed, and work closely with the management team to ensure product levels are maintained. Our Serving team will also rely on this position to proactively assist in the dining rooms with table clearing and service resets, including topping off water glasses. This role will require an independent, self-motivated individual with a strong eye for detail and who will interact with membership and fellow employees with a friendly, helpful manner and positive presence. As this position requires use of a motorized golf cart, the candidate must abide by all of the required safety policies and procedures we have in place.
Setting a personal example of being a professional, thoughtful and in-the-moment team member, and fostering a respectful workplace environment is crucial in this role. In addition, communicating regularly with the team, and supporting the direction, vision and goals of our F&B team will be what ultimately defines success in this role.
