Position Overview
Golf MD is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Club Builder & Golf Club Fitter to join our growing team. This role combines technical craftsmanship with customer-facing golf equipment expertise, helping golfers improve performance through precision club fitting, club assembly, repairs, and equipment customization.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, service-oriented, and passionate about golf. Whether performing a detailed TrackMan fitting, building clubs to exact specifications, or assisting customers with equipment recommendations, this individual will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct professional golf club fittings using TrackMan launch monitor technology and other fitting tools.Analyze player performance data and recommend equipment solutions tailored to each golfer's swing and playing goals.Assemble, customize, and repair golf clubs to exact specifications, including shaft installation, grip replacement, loft and lie adjustments, swing weight balancing, and club refinishing.Perform quality control checks to ensure all clubs meet Golf MD's high standards.Maintain fitting equipment, shop tools, and workstations in a clean and organized manner.Assist customers with equipment questions, product recommendations, and service inquiries.Manage inventory of club heads, shafts, grips, and repair components.Collaborate with team members to provide an outstanding customer experience from fitting through final delivery.Stay current on golf equipment trends, fitting technologies, and industry innovations.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to work with hand tools and club-building equipment safely and effectively.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on work in a workshop environment.
Preferred
Experience in golf club fitting, club repair, or custom club assembly.Familiarity with TrackMan or other launch monitor technology.Knowledge of golf equipment, shaft profiles, club specifications, and fitting methodologies.Passion for golf with playing experience or experience working within the golf industry.Club fitting, club repair, or equipment certifications are a plus.
