Landscape Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary As a Landscape Maintenance Specialist, your contributions will be essential in preserving the beauty and functionality of our golf course and surrounding areas. You will be involved in various tasks aimed at beautifying the landscape which greatly enhances our members' experience. Reporting Structure You will report to the Equipment Manager or Superintendent. Key Responsibilities: • Safely operate powered equipment to mow and maintain the grounds. • Utilize light machinery for hauling materials and clearing debris. • Water and fertilize plants to encourage healthy growth. • Prepare soil for planting, including grading and laying sod or seeding as required. • Maintain the landscape's aesthetic by trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and cultivating flowers. • Complete daily tasks according to club standards, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness. Additional Duties: • Assist team members with various tasks as needed. • Follow all company, club, and departmental policies and procedures. • Maintain professionalism in all interactions. • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to guidelines and fostering teamwork. • Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and maintain relevant certifications. • Address challenges effectively and collaborate with regional and corporate teams as necessary. • Engage in daily briefings to stay informed and contribute to team success. About You Required: • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Preferred: • Experience in landscape management, greenhouse operations, or groundskeeping. Physical Requirements: • Work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, kneeling, and more. Tools and Equipment: • Construction tools such as shovels, axes, and sledgehammers. • Gardening tools including pruners, rakes, and trimmers. • Blowers and grass mowers. • Tractors for maintenance tasks. Work Schedule: • Regular attendance as indicated in the weekly schedule, with potential additional hours on weekends and holidays.
