Parks and Recreation is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Golf Course Lead Greenskeeper. In this role, you will provide specialized care to golf course greens, grounds, and facilities while also serving as a lead to assigned workers. Your knowledge of golf course maintenance and leadership abilities will be crucial in ensuring the playability and overall maintenance of our courses.
What Youll Do:
Utilize specialized knowledge of golf course operations to support the supervisor in ensuring the playability of assigned courses. Plan, schedule, and coordinate work activities, including determining resource needs and directing the work of the crew. Review the work of assigned staff, provide training, and offer guidance to ensure quality standards are met. Perform computer-related tasks such as timekeeping, record-keeping, and procurement. Hand water, monitor moisture levels, troubleshoot irrigation malfunctions, and manage irrigation scheduling. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the irrigation system. Set up the golf course (change hole and tee locations). Manage teams for bunker maintenance an
