About the Role
Solstice is a boutique new home community located near the popular Littleton, Colorado area, specifically at the southernmost point of the High Line Canal. This intimate community combines nature, home, and family values, featuring gorgeous homes for sale along with fabulous future amenities. Its location is advantageous, placing residents close to parks, open spaces, golfing, shopping, dining, and other recreational facilities. Located just south of Denver and minutes away from Chafield State Park and Reservoir, Solstice offers a blend of suburban peace and convenient urban accessibility.
This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 and is part of the Solstice community’s department dedicated to Food & Beverage (F&B) services at BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG). Employees working 30 or more hours per week will be eligible for company-provided medical, dental, and life insurance plans from the first of the month following their first day of full-time employment. The benefit package also includes paid time off accruing at a rate of 120 hours per year, 7 paid holidays annually, and access to a 401(k) retirement plan after 30 days of service for team members aged 21 and over.
The Food & Beverage Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and excellence of all food and beverage services within the resort. Reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage or Club Manager, the F&B Manager plays a crucial leadership role, responsible for strategic planning and proactive management of the F&B team. This includes supporting culinary decisions, facilitating events, and guaranteeing an exceptional guest experience throughout all culinary and beverage services.
The manager will promote the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to align with company goals. Responsibilities include aiding the Director in providing strategic intelligence for all F&B initiatives such as vision planning, business development, capital expansion, branding, and the innovative design of menus, restaurants, and clubhouses. The manager is required to maintain superior standards of food service quality, exceed employee and guest expectations, and ensure effective communication among team members about operations, safety, and employee concerns.
Key leadership duties involve hiring, training, supervising staff, creating schedules, and motivating the team to success. Recognizing and celebrating team achievements while maintaining a positive work environment is essential. The role also carries financial management responsibilities including overseeing costs for goods, labor, and general expenses, establishing purchase order programs, managing department budgets, and coordinating business development goals in partnership with the Club Manager.
Daily execution of budgets, preparation of operational reports, and oversight of all food and beverage functions such as corporate parties and weddings fall under the manager’s purview. There is also an expectation to keep BSRG’s standards of excellence by staying current on industry trends, attending culinary exhibitions, buying shows, and educational seminars.
Personal attributes valued in this role include a strong customer orientation, ability to perform under pressure while balancing multiple priorities, outstanding team-building skills, and adherence to BlueStar’s core values: honesty and integrity, respect for the individual, teamwork, and a competitive spirit. A flexible schedule is required, which includes evenings and weekends, with occasional travel.
The work environment combines indoor office settings with active kitchen and outdoor event spaces, exposing staff to varying conditions such as heat, steam, fire, and weather elements. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, manual dexterity, and stamina for prolonged standing, walking, and other physical activities. The position requires excellent communication skills, decision-making, planning, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to high standards of work performance.
