Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef/Line Cook/Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. This position will have shift supervisor responsibilities and must be able to lead the kitchen team when our Chef is not in the Kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on fine dining and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. This position is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of meals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a range of dishes for banquets, events, and special occasions as well as cook on the restaurant line when needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and meet dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Develop and contribute to the planning and implementation of menus for banquets and events
- Assist in menu planning and creation, taking into account guest preferences and dietary restrictions
- Maintain knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Use a knife and other cooking tools to prepare ingredients and dishes
- Provide help and support to other kitchen staff as needed
- Be able to motivate and lead the kitchen team when needed
- Work closely with the dietary department to ensure that all dishes meet specific requirements
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Continuously improve food quality and presentation to meet the high standards of our fine dining establishment
Skills:
- Strong understanding of food safety principles and practices
- Experience in the food service industry, with a focus on fine dining
- Ability to prepare a variety of dishes, including those that require knife skills
- Effective menu planning and implementation skills

Hourly wage will be based on experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
