## About TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm
TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm is a private par-70, 7,107-yard championship golf course located in Potomac, Maryland, just under 20 miles from the White House. Since opening in 1986, the Club has hosted over 20 championships for the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, and the Korn Ferry Tour. ## The Role
As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you'll work alongside the Equipment Manager and Equipment Technicians to keep our golf course maintenance equipment in top condition. Your day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with routine preventative and curative maintenance on all golf course equipment, completing daily service records, helping maintain appropriate parts inventory, and keeping the shop area organized and safe. You'll follow the guidelines outlined in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task and must be thoroughly trained in proper procedures before performing work. Personal protective equipment is required, and you'll need to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
## What We're Looking For
You'll need at least a high school education diploma or equivalent, with trade school or secondary education experience helpful. Knowledge of basic engine mechanics and maintenance is essential. While working knowledge of golf course operations and practices is helpful, it's not required to start. You must be at least 18 years old, able to operate a motor vehicle, and hold a valid driver's license.
## Working Conditions
This position is very active and keeps you outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. You'll be lifting, pulling, or pushing up to or over 50 pounds regularly, and moving items with awkward weights. The role requires close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Shifts are scheduled as necessary based on business levels, and travel is not expected for this position. You'll have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
## Compensation and Benefits
