Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.Summary The Pro Shop Attendant will be responsible for cleaning all refuse out of carts, ensuring gas carts are filled with gas, washing and waxing carts, and storing and locking all carts at the end of each evening. The candidate must be able to work weekends, closing shifts, and holidays.Pay Range $15.00 - $16.00 per hourQualifications, Experience and Skill RequirementsMust have strong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be coachable and have basic computer skillsMust be dependable and have a strong work ethicKnowledge about the game of golf preferredMust be 21+ due to the selling of alcoholic beveragesGeneral Description of Duties and Responsibilities When acting as an "Inside" Staff MemberResponsible for processing customer reservations for guests of the golf courseProvides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in processArranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directedCollects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trainedAssists in maintaining a clean, safe workplaceAssists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to the daily register at the closing of the dayEnsures property and its amenities are secured dailyAssists with set-up of equipment and golf cartsPerforms related duties as assigned by the General ManagerWhen acting as an "Outside" Staff MemberResponsible for welcoming and greeting guests and players in a friendly mannerExplains rules and course etiquette to all groups if neededWashes and sanitizes the golf cart fleet, maintains organized storage areas and practice facilityAssists with the set-up and organization of golf carts and equipment for regular tee times or outingsFacilitates orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delaysAnswers all questions in a friendly manner; keeps a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessaryEnsures that each group has four players, if possibleResponsible for picking up and cleaning practice balls when scheduledEnsures property and its amenities are secured dailyPerforms related duties as assigned by the General ManagerEmployees age 19+ are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.All employees are eligible to participate in the Employee Assistance Program.Employees working 30-34 hours meet eligibility for healthcareEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
