Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of an NCAA Division III Golf program. This includes coaching athletes, developing training plans, recruiting players, organizing practices and competitions, fundraising, promoting academic and personal development among student-athletes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises other employees including Assistant Coach Golf.This position does not supervise other employees. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:
Ability to recruit, mentor, and motivate qualified student-athletes.Coaching.Conducting and supervising regular practice sessions and contests.Coordinate team travel and transport team in driving a passenger van for away team travel.Acting as a mentor for student-athlete personal development.Coordinate fundraising and community services events.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree Experience
Two (2) years golf coaching/instructor experience at college, high school, club level with demonstrated success.Note: experience can be at golf course as a golf instructor KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Thorough knowledge of NCAA Division III recruiting processes and eligibility requirements, golf rules, techniques and strategies.Knowledge of practice planning, tournament preparation, and competitive coaching methods.Knowledge of athletic program administration, budgeting, scheduling, and event management.Understanding safety procedures, risk management, and injury prevention.Knowledge of governing body regulations and compliance requirements. Skill in:

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during practices, tournaments, recruiting events, and team activities.Ability to demonstrate golf techniques, including full swings, short game skills, and putting fundamentals.Ability to lift, carry, and move golf equipment, training aids, and supplies.Ability to travel frequently by vehicle and occasionally by air for competitions, recruiting, and professional development activities.Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and sun exposure.Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions associated with golf instruction and equipment setup.Ability to visually monitor athlete performance and maintain awareness of activities across practice and competition venues.Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and provide assistance in situations requiring immediate attention. WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work environment and exposures described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Work is performed primarily outdoors on golf courses, driving ranges, and practice facilities. Frequent exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, wind, rain, and direct sunlight.Frequent local, regional, and/or overnight travel may be required for tournaments, recruiting, and professional development.Interaction with student-athletes, parents, coaches, administrators, officials, alumni, donors, and community members is a regular component of the position.Position requires adherence to institutional policies, athletic association regulations, and applicable safety standards.Occasional work in office environments for administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, reporting, recruiting correspondence, and program planning.May be required to supervise athletes and staff in various settings, including practices, competitions, travel, meetings, and team events.Must maintain professionalism and represent the institution and golf program positively at all times.
