We’re looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent . Can you picture yourself here? Here’s what you’d do: The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the golf course superintendent and is responsible for executing the superintendent’s duties in their absence. This role involves overseeing the maintenance, operation, and management of a golf course maintenance operation. You will serve as the liaison between the company, the customer, and the golf shop regarding daily course operations. You should be easily contacted and maintain communication with key employees on the golf course at all times. The superintendent and assistant superintendent must respond quickly to any situation. You’d be responsible for: Assisting the superintendent in organizing and directing maintenance of all areas within the scope and according to contract specifications. Supervising the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment assigned to the course. Procurement and management of supplies and materials supporting maintenance activities. Managing golf course maintenance employees, including participating in hiring, training, disciplining, and separation processes. Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, course policies, and company policies, while fulfilling administrative duties timely. Administering the BrightView Safety Program and the BV360 Management Program. Representing BrightView Golf Maintenance professionally, including attitude, appearance, and public relations. Meeting or exceeding customer expectations, both internal and external. You might be a good fit if you have: Experience in golf course management and turf culture (preferred). A degree or advanced knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, or soil science (preferred). Ability to obtain and maintain a state-sanctioned pesticide applicator license within 6 months of employment. And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have: Knowledge of construction, establishment, and maintenance practices for golf course features. Strong administrative, communication, and computer skills. Familiarity with fertilizers, soil conditioners, irrigation systems, and drainage. Ability to prepare the course for play according to golf rules and evaluate the course from a player\'s perspective. Valid driver’s license.
