Grounds Superintendent

Our client is a leading national sports complex management organization is seeking a driven, technically skilled Grounds Superintendent to oversee field operations, agronomics, and facility upkeep at a premier multi-field venue in Franklin, WI. Managing 6 baseball fields (synthetic infields paired with natural grass outfields), this role is an ideal advancement opportunity for a high-performing Assistant Superintendent or Lead Specialist ready to take full ownership of a multi-surface complex. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily preparation, upkeep, and multi-surface care for 4 full-size and 2 youth baseball fields. Balance synthetic turf infield grooming with natural grass outfield agronomics. Program, monitor, and troubleshoot an automated 3-controller Hunter ResCom irrigation system via web-based panels. Manage full complex infrastructure, including common area mowing, perimeter landscaping, and cleaning crew logistics. Lead, train, and mentor a full-time Assistant Superintendent, interns, and game-day grounds staff. Coordinate field turnarounds during heavy weekend tournament schedules. Qualifications 2-4+ years in Sports Turf Management or Golf Course Agronomics (Assistant Superintendents ready for a Head role are strongly encouraged to apply). Strong natural grass agronomy background combined with synthetic turf upkeep experience. Direct familiarity with automated Hunter web/Hydrawise irrigation control panels. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and open to Midwest relocation.
