Job Purpose The Maintenance Irrigator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the golf course irrigation system to ensure optimal turf health and water efficiency. This role supports overall course conditions by managing irrigation schedules, troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining pumps, valves, and related infrastructure. Working under limited supervision, the Maintenance Irrigator partners with the Superintendent and leadership team to proactively address irrigation needs and support course operations.
Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and adjust irrigation systems to maintain optimal turf and landscape conditions Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation components including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, controllers, and pumps Program and manage irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, soil moisture, and course needs Perform preventive maintenance on irrigation systems and related equipment Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues within irrigation control systems Assist in installation and upgrades of irrigation infrastructure Maintain pump stations, filtration systems, and water distribution equipment Conduct regular system audits to identify leaks, inefficiencies, or coverage issues Maintain accurate records of repairs, water usage, and system performance Coordinate with maintenance team to support overall course operations and specia
