We are a family-friendly private country club located on the scenic Lake Waramaug, currently seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our seasonal operation from April through October. Our club prides itself on delivering high-quality service, a welcoming atmosphere, and memorable experiences for members and guests of all ages. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on daily à la carte dining and high-volume banquet production.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute daily production for à la carte service and banquetsSupport kitchen staff during peak service periodsMaintain consistency, quality, and timing across all outletsAssist with ordering, prep planning, and food cost controlEnforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standardsStep in as kitchen lead in the Executive Chef’s absenceQualifications
5 years of professional kitchen experienceProven background in à la carte and banquet operationsPrior supervisory or lead cook experienceStrong organization, work ethic, and ability to perform under pressureAvailability for nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasonPreferred
