Position Summary
Columbine Country Club is currently seeking qualified candidates for part-time front-server positions. These positions provide food and beverage service in the Club’s ala carte dining facilities, including the multiple dining rooms, a lounge and bar, the patio, and the Men’s Locker Room Grill. Columbine offers flexible schedules that can accommodate other jobs and/or school responsibilities. Qualified Front-Server candidates will be compensated with an hourly wage starting at $22.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
• A Front Server at Columbine will hold the following responsibilities, which will include, but are not limited to:
• We aim to provide our membership and their guests with an exceptional dining experience that exceeds their expectations in a professional yet relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, reacting to the differing dining requirements of each individual table.
• Act as a liaison between the member and the kitchen, fully executing the overall steps of service in an efficient manner from welcome to farewell while following all service standards to provide a consistent dining experience. Possess in-depth knowledge of all food & beverage menus, including beer, wine, and spirits offerings, while being able to describe items offered in detail from memory.
• Understand how to operate a point-of-sale system to enter each table’s orders correctly and expediently, ensuring the food & beverages are accurately prepared and delivered to the correct position numbers for each table.
• Execute pre- and post-shift responsibilities as defined by the Dining Supervisor and/or the Food and Beverage Manager efficiently so that the dining areas are set up properly prior to guest arrival, the dining areas are properly cleaned at the conclusion of the meal period, and all necessary side-work tasks are completed.
Qualifications | Requirements
• Prior service experience is not required, but successful applicants will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work with a team, and an engaging personality.
• Excellent communication skills and a “can-do” attitude with which to build relationships with team members throughout the Club.
• The ability to be on your feet for long periods of time is necessary and to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
