Lansdowne is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional - Tournament Coordinator!

Position Summary:
The Assistant Golf Professional - Tournament Coordinator, is primarily
responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all golf outings and
events, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for every client and
participant. This role serves as the main point of contact for outing organizers
and delivers exceptional service on the day of each event. In addition, the
position supports daily golf operations, including golf shop coverage, outside
services oversight, and pace of play management.
Responsibilities
• Serves as the lead coordinator for all golf outings, tournaments, and special events.
• Communicates directly with clients to plan event details, including format, tee times, pairings, scoring, and special requests.
• Conducts pre-event planning meetings, creates event timelines, and ensures all logistics are clearly organized.
• Coordinates with internal departments (food & beverage, maintenance, outside operations) to ensure smooth execution.
• Prepares tournament materials such as cart signs, scorecards, rule sheets, and pairing sheets.
• Oversees event setup, registration, and execution on the day of play.
• Manages scoring, results, and prize distribution in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensures a high level of hospitality and responsiveness to client needs throughout the event.
• Follows up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
• Assists with the daily operation of the golf shop, including merchandising, sales, and customer service.
• Provides professional and friendly service to members and guests at all times.
• Supports tee sheet management, reservations, and check-in procedures.
• Assists with organizing leagues, club events, and instructional programming as needed.
• Oversees outside operations staff to ensure proper setup and presentation of carts, practice facilities, and staging areas.
• Trains, schedules, and supervises outside staff to maintain service standards.
• Ensures all areas (bag drop, practice facilities, staging areas) are clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
• Acts as a liaison between golf operations and outside services to ensure alignment.
Requirements
• PGA Associate or Class A Professional preferred (or actively pursuing).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with tournament operations and golf event management preferred.
• Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Customer-first mindset with attention to detail.
