Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and overall health of our golf course. Duties
Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure the highest standards of turf management, landscaping, and overall course appearance
Develop and implement comprehensive lawn care and turf maintenance programs to promote healthy grass growth and optimal playability
Oversee irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water use and proper functioning to maintain lush greens and fairways
Coordinate construction projects such as bunker renovations, drainage improvements, or landscape enhancements with contractors and internal staff
Manage tree care activities including pruning, removal, and health assessments to preserve safety and aesthetics
Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks for team members
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards across all maintenance operations
Requirements
Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or golf course management with supervising responsibilities
Strong knowledge of lawn care practices, horticulture principles, and turfgrass science
Experience with irrigation systems installation, repair, and troubleshooting
Skilled in construction projects related to outdoor environments such as bunker work or drainage systems
Familiarity with tree care techniques including pruning and disease management
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment
Knowledge of gardening practices, environmental sustainability efforts, and general maintenance procedures in outdoor settings
Degree or Certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
PA Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
