The Reel Technician/Equipment Technician will aid in ensuring all golf course cutting units are ready for the daily grind. The person filling this position along with the other Lead Equipment technician will add two other position along with helping develop a floor plan and needed tools for new shop beginning construction November 2026 We are looking for the right individual to help develop, build, and lead our Team as move into opening this fabulous golf course. The right candidate will perform/manage the following: - Develop reel and bed knife grinding/sharpening startegy - Assist in developing and performing preventative maintenance program on all golf course maintenance equipment. - Collaborate with diagnosing and repair of mechanical problems with all equipment. - Help in communicating the needs of maintenance and repair of all equipment to the superintendent. - Have the ability to work on gas engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical. - Operate shop equipment such as equipment lift, grinding tools, air compression tools, and welding. - Understand technical literature regarding equipment maintenance and repair. - Must be able to manage and handle oils, grease, and other chemical compounds within the shop area. - Assist ordering/receiving parts, tracking inventory, maintaining equipment repair records. - Trains staff on the safe and proper use of equipment. - Maintain a safe, organized, and clean shop work area. - Prioritizes safety and addresses hazard concerns. - Recommends equipment purchases and leases. - Operates heavy and light equipment. - Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. At least 1 year working in a golf course equipment management setting.
