Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Early Morning Facility Custodian & Maintenance Porter to join our team. Your proactive approach to cleaning, custodial tasks, and light maintenance will ensure that our premises are well-kept and ready for daily operations. Duties

Perform comprehensive cleaning of all facility areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without hazards. Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, surface disinfecting, window cleaning, and restocking supplies to maintain a pristine environment. Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols related to heavy lifting and manual handling. Support facilities maintenance by inspecting for safety hazards, reporting issues promptly, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related questions or concerns from staff or visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Requirements

Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings with knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation. Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards to ensure safe practices at all times. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices to prevent injury. Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks efficiently during early morning shifts. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance including minor repairs, painting, and equipment upkeep. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience operating floor buffers or performing floor care is preferred but not required.
