Miramont Country Club is an elite private country club located in Bryan, Texas, offering a memorable experience centered around championship golf, fine dining, and exceptional service.
Our pool opens in May (Weekends only until Memorial Day) and will remain open through September 2026, offering a lively setting for both relaxation and recreation. We are seeking energetic and dedicated Lifeguards to join us throughout the season, and, for those interested, the opportunity to become an integral part of our team year-round. Job Summary:
As a key member of our Aquatics team, the Lifeguards at Miramont Country Club are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests while they enjoy our pool facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring swimmers, providing emergency assistance when necessary, conducting routine pool chemical checks and ensuring the pool area is clean and safe. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, the ability to handle fast-paced situations and a strong commitment to safety. Professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for creating a safe and enjoyable environment are essential.
Job Qualifications:
Positive attitude and highly motivated self-starter.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Required: American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
Required: American Red Cross First Aid certification.
Required: American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard certification.
Previous lifeguard experience preferred.
Experience in teaching swim lessons preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in a professional manner.
Ability to handle stress and emergencies in a professional manner.
Must be able to complete tasks accurately and on time.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies as necessary.
Knowledge of and ability to perform required duties during emergency situations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with honesty and integrity.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hands to manipulate equipment.
Ability to reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
Ability to work in a busy, noisy environment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions (cold, hot, humid, wet/slippery).
Tolerance for chlorine smells and frequent exposure to cleaning agents.
Must meet physical demands typical for the position, including frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and pulling.
Vision requirements: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
