Job Purpose
The primary objectives of a Greens Keeper is to perform basic golf course maintenance and/or landscape maintenance in accordance with daily production standards. In doing so the Operator serves a vital role in producing the premier playing surfaces associated with the Glen Arven brand. Greens Keepers will work directly under all Assistant Superintendents and the Superintendent. Greens Keepers will also maintain a positive image for Glen Arven Grounds Maintenance in the field and in the industry while working independently and efficiently in the absence of an immediate supervisor. Greens Keepers also are responsible for being aware of member/guest experience, and ensuring that their experience is enjoyable at all times.
Essential Functions of the Job
Performs basic daily maintenance to all of Glen Arven Golf Club's property. The core of these tasks are: Greens Care, Bunker Care, Rotary Mow, Course Set-up, and Edging work.In addition to these core tasks Greens Keepers will be required to perform other general maintenance tasks including but not limited to: manual weed removal, backpack blower operation, golf cart towed blower operation, hose watering plants, debris removal, landscape mulching, landscape pine strawing, drainage installation, and sod removal/installation. Please note that this is only a general list of the tasks required by a Greens Keeper.Responsible for communicating with superiors the following: abnormal golf course conditions, safety issues, if assigned tasks were completed and if not completed what work remains, broken or malfunctioning equipment, and mistakes or accidents which occur on company property.Caring for all tools and equipment by daily cleaning, cooperation with safety and proper operation training, and proper placement in storage buildings.Keeping up with and proper use of issued Personal Protective Equipment and job-enabling items such as coveralls, rain jacket/pants, gloves, shirts, hats, and pants (if applicable). Must adhere to grooming policies as stated in the employee manual.Arriving to work at a time which allows the employee to be prepared to take part in the morning meeting, and ready to work once dismissedQualifications (required unless otherwise stated)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to use arms, hands, and fingers to handle or lift items. The employee is also required to have the visual acuity to perform an activity such as but not limited to: visual inspection involving property maintenance, hazards and safety violations, and/or operation of machines.
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
