Job Purpose The Snack Bar Cook is responsible for preparing simple food and beverage items for golfers and guests in a fast-paced snack bar environment. This position focuses on providing friendly service while preparing menu items such as sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, breakfast items, and grab-and-go offerings according to established standards. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, follows food safety guidelines, and takes pride in delivering quality food quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve simple food items according to established recipes and portion standards
Cook menu items using grills, ovens, fryers, microwaves, or other snack bar equipment
Assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other grab-and-go offerings
Stock food, beverage, and supply inventory throughout the shift
Ensure food is properly stored, labeled, and rotated to maintain freshness
Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety and sanitation standards
Maintain a clean and organized food preparation area
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Restock condiments, utensils, beverages, and snack items as needed
Provide friendly and efficient service to guests
Follow all Company, local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous food service, snack bar, quick-service restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures
Basic math and cash handling skills preferred
Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Food Handler Certification, where required by law
Working Conditions
Days and hours of work vary based on business needs and operating schedules
Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Regularly required to use hands, reach, bend, stoop, lift, and carry items
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Work may be performed in indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
