Role Description The Assistant General Manager / Clubhouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, TN. This position supports the General Manager in overseeing daily clubhouse operations, including dining, events, member services, and facility presentation. The role includes supervising and scheduling staff, ensuring consistent service standards, coordinating with culinary and golf operations teams, and managing clubhouse maintenance needs. The manager will work closely with members, assist in planning and executing club events and banquets, and help monitor budgets, costs, and operational efficiency. This role also oversees staff training, adherence to safety and compliance policies, and ongoing enhancements to the member experience.

Qualifications
Experience in hospitality or private club management, including staff supervision and day-to-day operations.Strong skills in customer service, member relations, and conflict resolution to maintain a welcoming, professional environment.Ability to manage events and banquets, coordinate logistics, and work cross-functionally with culinary and recreational teams.Competence in budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and basic financial reporting for clubhouse operations.Effective leadership, team-building, and coaching skills to support a diverse staff and promote service excellence.Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.Clear verbal and written communication skills, and comfort interacting with members, vendors, and colleagues.Proficiency with common office and club management software; familiarity with POS systems is beneficial.Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous experience in a country club, resort, or upscale hospitality environment is preferred.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations.
