<p><strong>Organization: </strong></p> <p>The Northern Ohio PGA is an association of golf professionals. The mission of the Northern Ohio PGA is to promote interest and enjoyment in the game of golf while enhancing the well being of its members. The Northern Ohio PGA will accomplish this mission by enhancing the skills of its professionals and the opportunities for amateurs, employers, manufacturers, employees, and the general public. In so doing, the Northern Ohio PGA will elevate the standards of the professional golfer’s vocation, enhance the economic well-being of the individual member, stimulate interest in the game of golf, and promote the overall vitality of the game. The geographical location of the Northern Ohio PGA is bounded on the north by the northern boundary of the State of Ohio; the east by the eastern boundary of the State of Ohio; the south by an imaginary line drawn between the cities of Martins Ferry, Ohio and Union City, Indiana. on the West by the western boundary of the State of Ohio </p> <p><strong>Section Staff Mission </strong></p> <p>To provide a first-class experience for NOPGA Members and Foundation benefactors in all tournaments, events and programming. Our team works in a collaborative, fun environment and has a passion for sharing their love for the game of golf with others. The Executive Director and Section Board of Directors have a commitment to support each staff member in career development. </p> <p><strong>Position Description</strong>: </p> <p>The Northern Ohio PGA seeks an individual with a “can-do” attitude to be a member of the Section’s NOPGA team for a 6 month position. The Tournament Lead is expected to be self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills, working knowledge of tournament administration and the rules of golf. The Tour Tournament Lead is empowered to work independently on projects from start to finish and be able to work under pressure and handle a wide variety of activities. The Tour Tournament Lead reports to the Executive Director &amp; Director of Operations. The Tournament Lead will manage the onsite tournament activities and help manage the seasonal staff. In addition to the NOPGA Junior Tour and Futures Tour program responsibilities, the Tournament Lead will support the Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation and Member Services. Individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
