THE OPPORTUNITY
The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) seeks a full-time Equipment Logistics and Club Technician Manager to support player performance at LPGA and Epson Tour events. This visible, dual role involves transporting and operating the equipment van, ensuring DOT compliance, and providing top-tier club repair and player support services on-site.
This role is critical in supporting the world’s top golfers by providing quality equipment services while ensuring the safety, compliance, and operational excellence of the LPGA equipment van program.
This role is a 50/50 split between DOT/compliance driving responsibilities and on-site equipment operations, requiring a unique combination of technical expertise, logistical planning, and customer service excellence.
This position reports to the Director, Player Services and requires extensive domestic travel.
What You’ll Do
Equipment Van Operations & Player SupportSet up and operate the equipment van at LPGA and Epson Tour events (typically Monday–Wednesday)Provide elite club repair services including grips, loft/lie adjustments, shafting, and general equipment maintenanceMaintain strong relationships with players, caddies, and manufacturer representativesManage manufacturer representative credentials, including application processes, approvals, and on-site distributionOversee weekly operations, including rep compliance with LPGA policies and conduct standardsCoordinate tournament logistics (parking, access, dining, setup location) with internal teams and tournament organizersMaintain and replenish inventory of tools, shafts, grips, and equipmentEnsure a clean, organized, and professional workspace inside the vanSupport Player Development initiatives, including rookie programs and equipment educationIdentify opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships to enhance equipment van operations
DOT Compliance & Equipment Transportation (50%)
Safely transport the LPGA equipment van (F-350 and trailer) to tournament locations nationwideObtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and comply with all DOT regulationsEnsure vehicle and trailer meet all DOT safety standards, including annual inspections and ongoing maintenance (oil changes, tires, etc.)Manage electronic logging (hours of service) and plan travel schedules accordinglyCoordinate with compliance teams to secure necessary permits and certifications for each stateMaintain proper vehicle weight limits to avoid violations or finesParticipate in required drug and alcohol testing programsMaintain cleanliness and professional presentation of the vehicleOther duties as assigned
Who You Are
2–3+ years of experience in club repair, club fitting, or equipment buildingCDL License required (or ability to obtain with company support)Experience driving trucks and trailers preferredStrong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements (or ability to learn quickly)Mechanical aptitude for vehicle and equipment upkeepExperience managing inventory and vendor relationshipsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, mobile environmentStrong organizational, planning, and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsComfortable working in close, high-demand environments with multiple stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office and basic technology tools
Travel & Work Environment
Approximately 20–22 (40%) weeks of domestic travel annuallyWorkweeks vary based on tournament schedules and DOT driving hoursExtended travel periods and non-traditional hours required
