About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Golf Course Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our premier golf facility in **Phoenix, Arizona, US**. This critical role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for the sport and a proven track record in managing large-scale leisure operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily functioning of the golf course, including agronomy, groundskeeping, player services, retail operations, and F&B oversight. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of course quality and playability. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing operational strategies, managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization. You will also be involved in event planning and execution, coordinating with external vendors and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of tournaments and special events. A deep understanding of golf course maintenance best practices, water management, pest control, and turfgrass science is essential. The role involves extensive interaction with club members, guests, and staff, requiring outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to sustainability, and a strong focus on safety and compliance. You will be expected to stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, continually seeking ways to enhance the facility's offerings and competitive edge. A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Golf Course Management, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in golf course management or a similar leisure/hospitality leadership role is required. Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite is necessary. This is an on-site position requiring a strong presence at the facility.
