Golf Course Maintenance Worker

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in creating and maintaining a pristine, enjoyable environment for golfers and visitors alike. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for ensuring the golf course remains lush, healthy, and visually stunning by performing a variety of landscape maintenance tasks. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help uphold the high standards of our beautiful course, providing an exceptional experience for all who visit. This is a full time seasonal position, with the possibility of year around employment for the right person. Job begins immediately and runs through October 31st. General hours required are Monday-Thursday 6am-2:30pm. Friday 6am-Noon, and rotating weekends from 6am-9am. Benefits include free golf and discounted meals at the clubhouse. Responsibilities • Maintain the health and appearance of the golf course by performing lawn care, mowing, edging, and trimming using hand tools and power tools. • Assist with irrigation system operation, adjustments, and repairs to ensure optimal watering schedules and prevent drought stress. • Conduct landscape maintenance activities including planting, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote vibrant turf and plant health. • Use gardening tools and landscaping equipment to perform routine upkeep of greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, and surrounding areas. • Support overall course cleanliness by removing debris, managing waste disposal, and maintaining equipment in excellent condition. • Collaborate with team members to implement horticulture best practices and ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests or issues that impact course quality or safety. Qualifications • Basic golf course knowledge highly preferred, but not necessary. Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. • Knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care techniques, landscaping practices, and the use of hand tools and power tools is highly desirable. • Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines. • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to course upkeep and environmental stewardship. • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions. • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration and learning new skills.
