Groundskeeper

Job Summary Greenville Country Club is seeking a reliable, self-motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Groundskeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for lawn care, weeding, watering, backpack blowing, string trimming, and other duties as assigned. Additional fall and winter tasks include leaf cleanup, snow removal, and garden maintenance. Duties

Maintain and enhance landscapes through mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment including lawnmowers, chainsaws, power trimmers, and irrigation systems with a focus on safety and efficiency Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to prevent over- or under-watering Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving soil, mulch, or equipment safely using manual handling techniques Perform routine inspections of grounds and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations

Skills

Proficiency in landscape maintenance including lawn care, gardening, horticulture practices, and general landscaping techniques Experience operating grounds maintenance machinery such as power tools, landscaping equipment, and company vehicles safely and effectively Familiarity with 2 cycle engines and tools Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks with proper technique to prevent injury Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor settings
