Golf Course Superintendent

We are seeking an energetic, hands-on golf course superintendent to lead our maintenance department. This individual will oversight our 18 hole golf course, practice facilities. Key Responsibilities - Turf & Course Management: Oversee the daily care, mowing schedules, chemical programs, and cultural practices (aeration, topdressing, overseeding) for Tif-Eagle greens, Bermuda 419 tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping. - Irrigation Infrastructure:  Oversee the scheduling, operation, water distribution management, and routine troubleshooting/repair of the golf course irrigation system. - Labor Leadership:  Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor a dedicated maintenance crew and the Assistant Superintendent. Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and strong teamwork. - Capital & In-House Projects: Plan and execute ongoing course improvement projects, including bunker renovations, drainage additions, and timber/tree management. - Experience:  3–5+ years of progressive golf course maintenance experience, ideally serving as a Superintendent or a Senior Assistant Superintendent looking to make the leap. - Agronomic Knowledge:  Strong background in Bermuda turfgrass management, warm-season pest/weed identification, and soil/water science. - Licensing:  Possession of, or the immediate ability to obtain, a South Carolina Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License. - Leadership:  Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide an outdoor staff effectively.
