About the Role
Troon is a global leader in golf, hospitality, and residential community management. Calusa Golf & Country Club is seeking a General Manager to lead overall operations, financial performance, and service delivery across golf, recreation, wellness, food and beverage, facilities, maintenance, administration, and HOA functions. The role also oversees management staff, property assets, budgets, compliance, and member and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Develops, maintains, and administers a sound business and organizational plan for the property which includes an operating/capital budget and marketing planHires, develops, and supervises all key management employees of the propertyConsistently assures that the property is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal lawsOversees the care and maintenance of the property’s physical assets, facilities, and landscapingEnsures the highest standards for food, beverage, sports, recreation activities, and other property servicesAnalyzes financial statements (income and expenses) relative to budgeted goals and takes corrective measures as necessaryWorks with department heads to schedule, supervise, and direct the work of all property employeesParticipates in outside activities that are judged appropriate by the Regional VP/Manager to enhance the presence of the property in the local communityPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Skills
Must have 3-5 years of related experience in golf operations/club management/food and beverage operationsMust have supervisory, coaching, and staff development experienceMust demonstrate ability to run a professional, efficient, and high-quality service-oriented operationMust be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointMust possess exceptional written and verbal communication skillsMust be extremely organized, efficient, and detail-orientedMust have exceptional customer service skillsMust be highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self-starterHighly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quicklyMust have the skill to exercise good independent judgment in assessing situations and making decisionsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsA four-year college degree is preferredPGA Member preferred
