Great River Golf Club Senior Assistant Superintendent

Position SummaryThe Senior Assistant Golf Course Superintendent works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to support all aspects of golf course operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to crew supervision fertilizer and pesticide applications irrigation system management and the coordination of daily maintenance activities to ensure optimal course Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in the planning and supervising of the maintenance of greens tees fairways and roughs; schedule work and supervise the employees and the use of for the operation of all equipment and instruction for other operators on the use and care of mowing and other and leads labor crews tasked with special projects. Completes daily golf course set-up including pin and tee and participates in the operation and maintenance of pumps and in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage all turf grass areas for drought and waters routine safety inspection on all application chemical storage and mixing removal is required in the parking lot around the clubhouse and maintenance facility at the entrance and on the road to the pump in the management of capital duties as Skills Abilities & Other AttributesMust hold a turf certificate A.S. or B.S. in turf grass management or related field. A minimum of two years golf course experience is required; one year of experience as an Assistant Superintendent is work ethic positive attitude and a keen eye for to learn and a desire to advance in the golf communication well in a team and sprayer pesticide applicator license (obtained within 6 months of employment).Strong knowledge of computer based software including Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and related Working ConditionsEarly hours lifting heavy objects working in all environmental conditions. Must work weekends holidays long hours on feet and long hours of manual labor.
