About the Role
Description
The Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the Golf Operations team, working closely with the Director of Golf. This position is designed for an experienced, motivated, and service-oriented professional who demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills. The Assistant will play a pivotal role in daily operations, member engagement, tournament management, instruction, and staff leadership.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
· Serve as a leader and role model for the golf operations team, including Outside Services and other Assistant Professionals.
· Supervise, train, and mentor staff to ensure high standards of service and professionalism.
Golf Operations
· Oversee all aspects of daily golf operations, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for members and guests.
· Assist in managing and executing Men’s, Ladies’, Junior tournaments, weekly leagues, and special events using Golf Genius and other relevant software.
· Assist with the Golf Shop retail operation, including purchasing, inventory control, merchandising, and sales.
· Coordinate club fitting and repair services
Instruction & Player Development
· Provide private and group lessons, clinics, and junior programming in accordance with club standards.
· Foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for players of all ages and skill levels.
Member & Guest Services
· Deliver outstanding customer service, professional advice, and support to all members and guests.
· Address member concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
Administrative & Technology
· Utilize Golf Genius, Club Essential, Paylocity, and Microsoft Office for tournament management, tee sheet management, scheduling, and reporting.
· Maintain accurate records and assist with budgeting and planning as needed.
Other Duties
· Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the values and standards of DragonRidge Country Club.
· Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Golf.
Qualifications & Experience
· Minimum 2+ years of experience in a private club or high-end golf facility required; leadership experience strongly preferred.
· Class A PGA/LPGA Member or Associate in good standing.
· Demonstrate adequate skills in tournament management and retail operations.
· Proficient in Golf Genius and Microsoft Office.
· Strong playing ability and thorough knowledge of golf rules and etiquette.
· Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills.
· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
· Commitment to delivering outstanding member and guest experiences.
