Player Assistant at Currie Municipal Golf Course (on-site).
Description
Currie Municipal Golf Course is excited to announce the opportunity for a Player Assistant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.
Key Responsibilities
Start players on the first tee, explaining the rules of play for the day.
Maintain accurate starting sheets so the whereabouts of players are known.
Coordinate groups to move to the first tee, ensuring no more than one group is on the tee at a time.
Tour the golf course, assisting players as needed to maintain posted pace of play.
Check restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
Maintain proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.
Complete the golfer tracking report daily.
Remind players of the cart rules for the day.
Repair ball marks and collect trash on the course; replace hazard stakes or directional signage.
Communicate with the Golf Shop and Starter regularly.
Monitor the course to ensure customer satisfaction and assist golfers as needed.
Report all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Qualifications
Regular and reliable attendance.
