Our History The first private, 36-hole country club in Orange County
Coto de Caza, a name that is Portuguese for "Preserve of the Hunt," was once a former hunting preserve and now provides a close-knit community and welcoming retreat for resident Members both inside and around the surrounding areas. Club life centers around our beautiful craftsman-style clubhouse, which opened in 1989, and 36 pristine holes. The North Course was built in 1987 and is rated one of the nation's top 50 private courses. The South Course, which opened in April 1995, features smaller greens and flatter landing areas and is surrounded by native trees that give this golf course an established feel in the middle of Orange County. The Fitness, Racquet, and Aquatic Center, which fully opened in July 2008, boasts a 14,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center and Pilates studio, with 10 surrounding racquet courts including a stadium center court.
