Location- Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, California Job Title- Dishwasher Job Category- Full-Time Union Reports to- Executive Chef Department- Food and Beverage/Clubhouse We are looking to add a dishwasher to our kitchen team at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City. As a private, members-only club, we pride ourselves in offering outstanding hospitality to our members and guests in a warm and professional atmosphere. We hope to add a hardworking staff member to our kitchen team looking to grow with the company. This person will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen items and utensils, and at times performing food prep cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs or cooks. It is the responsibility to dishwasher may also have to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, empty trash, mop floors, & coordinate with the kitchen staff to meet all health standards and policies. Responsibilities that may be expected for this position: Operate industrial dishwasher ensuring sanitation of all dishes. Perform kitchen prep work prior to service and utilize basic knife work. Prepare meats and vegetables by washing, seasoning and cutting with meat slicer and must be familiar with knife safely. Keep the kitchen clean and organized, and be willing to assist as needs change throughout a shift. Operate dishwasher & keep kitchen clean, organized and sanitized. Maintain constant communication between management and all other employees to provide smooth operations in a high volume environment. Sweep & mop floors Empty trash cans and dirty or soiled linen bags Transport trash and waste to disposal area Great teamwork skills & attention to detail Positive outlook & outgoing personality Previous Kitchen experience (1+ years preferred) Experience in a wide range of cooking techniques and styles Ability to follow direction & meet quality standards. Flexible availability CA State Serv-Safe certification required. Language Skills: Ability communicate in English is ideal.
